What are Iowa Energy Tags™? 

• Each Iowa Energy Tag™ represents the environmental benefit of wind generation of 2,500 kWh, offsetting fossil fuel production of the same amount of energy. 
• 2,000,000 kWh or 800 Iowa Energy Tags™ are available each year.
• Each Iowa Energy Tag™ is sold for $50.00.  A certificate will be issued for the number of Iowa Energy Tags™ purchased. 
• Use of Iowa Energy Tag™ sales will go towards additional wind generation by Waverly Light and Power. 
• Each Iowa Energy Tag™ represents a savings of 5,300 lbs. of CO2 emissions, along with a host of other greenhouse gases.
