FAQ's
Question: I'm going to be moving, I need my utilities changed. What do I do?
Answer:

Call the City of Waverly's Billing Department at 319.352.4252.

Question: Do you have any rebates available for appliances?
Answer:

Yes, we do. Rebates are given for a variety of appliances, HVAC equipment, and water heaters. For details on participating dealers and what appliances are available for rebates, check out Appliance Rebates or call Waverly Light and Power at 319.352.6251.

Question: Do you sell water heaters?
Answer:

Waverly Light and Power recommends investing in a Marathon Water Heater. The water heater is the most efficient in the world at this time and it doesn't hurt the planet. There is no gas or propane odor, no risk of carbon monoxide, a low noise factor, and no unstable gas prices. Rebates on the Marathon Water Heater are available. The heaters are sold through participating dealers. Call Waverly Light and Power at 319.352.6251 for more information.

Question: What is the monthly customer charge on my utility bill?
Answer:

The monthly customer charge on your bill is a base charge every customer receives regardless of the amount of utility services consumed.  The charge goes to cover the cost of having service available to you and directly wired to your home or business.  It covers the expense of your electrical line coming to your house, each meter, the monthly reading of your meter, and customer billing expenses.  If you are looking for ways to lower your bill, check out our energy efficiency section for tips and rebates available.
