What is an Energy Star appliance?
An ENERGY STAR
appliance exceeds federal energy standards. Waverly Light and Power offers you, the customer, rebates on these high-efficiency products.
True cost of appliances
When shopping for appliances take into account the lifetime cost as well as the initial cost. The appliance with the lowest purchase cost may have the highest cost of operation over its lifetime.
EPA Energy Star Appliances and Rebates are paid by WLP in Waverly Dollars.
Central Air Conditioners:
All properly sized Air Conditioners: SEER rating 15 or higher = $150
Heat Pumps:
All properly sized Air to Air Heat Pumps: SEER rating 15 or higher >8.5 HSPF = $150
Geothermal Heat Pumps: 3.3 COP = $450
Clothes Washers:
All units listed as an EPA Energy Star qualifying clothes washer.
2.0 or higher (MEF) = $75 WLP Rebate
Refrigerators:
All units listed as an EPA Energy Star qualifying refrigerator exceeding federal energy standards by:
20% = $50 WLP Rebate

Program Qualifications & Application Requirements
Qualifications: Old Appliance Must Be Turned In To A Participating Dealer.
Appliance must be installed in a residence or building served by Waverly Light and Power. Dorm size refrigerators six cubic feet or less are not eligible.
Application Requirements:
Completed Rebate Form (Obtained from dealer or WLP), attach original yellow F.T.C. Energy Guide Label to backside of rebate. Attach original sales receipt and return to Waverly Light and Power. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing. Note that all rebates are subject to availability of funds, rebates may end at any time without notice.
